SEMESTER BREAK INTERNSHIP
For Students Who Will Graduate at the End of the Spring Term of 2021 and Have Missing Internships
Students who cannot find internship opportunities outside the institution during the semester break and who only meet the requirement to graduate in the Spring Term of 2021 will be able to do their internship up to 25 working days online between 30 January and 27 February 2021. For online internship, students must find a consultant faculty member from the MBG, Bioengineering, Chemistry Departments or Biotechnology Institute who will determine their internship topic. After receiving the admission, students can send the information of "student number, name and surname, internship day date and work days and advisor" via the form below and start the following procedures for online internship.
1- ABOUT INTERNSHIP IN THE FORM OF HOMEWORK-PROJECT (ONLY FOR THOSE WHO FULLFILL THE CRITERIA AND PREFER)
Those who have the right to internship in the form of homework-internship, and those who choose it, fill in the forms of the 1st Internship Form (A-FR-0076_Staj_Fisi) and the 2nd Internship Requirement Document (B- FR-0338_Staj-_Zorunluluk_Belgesi) and send to email@example.com address. It must be sent by -mail. Internship dates must be within the dates and conditions in the second part of the announcement. For these students, SSI entry is not required, so forms will not be sent to your address by cargo. Students can download the Internship Logbook (Staj Defteri) from the following link
and deliver it to the department secretary within 3 weeks after the return begins, or send it electronically via an address to be announced in case face-to-face training is not initiated.
2- WORKFLOW ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION OF THE INTERNSHIP OUTSIDE OF GTÜ
Due to Covid-19, interns will NOT be accepted to our institution (including GTU students) during the 2020-2021 Semester break. The information is for GTU students to fill in and receive the necessary documents for their internship outside the institution.
1- Applications for internship will be made electronically until 15 January 2021. Internships,
It can be planned between January 30 and February 27, 202 (You can use Saturday as working days).
2-Students fill in the attached Internship Form and Internship Requirement Document completely and send it to the Department Internship Committee with the title of "INTERNSHIP" by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org address.
3- The Internship Committee sends the approved documents to the Dean's Office to be signed by the Vice Dean responsible for Internships.
4- The documents signed by the vice dean with a wet signature and given the outgoing document number and the Internship Book are sent by courier to the addresses specified in the application forms.
5-After students receive an approved internship acceptance certificate from the business; They send the acceptance certificate, internship receipt and the certificate of entitlement to be obtained from the e-government to the address below by courier. The student, whose documents reach the faculty, is informed by e-mail that the documents have been received from the faculty. The student who does not receive an e-mail regarding the receipt of the documents should immediately contact Meral ERYİĞİT on 0 262 605 30 50 and follow up the documents. It is the student's responsibility to deliver the documents to the Dean's Office.
6- Documents that reach the Faculty are forwarded to the Dean's office and insurance entry is initiated accordingly.

General Information About Internship
Compulsory Internships can be 25-15, 20-20 or 40 days at a time.
When calculating internship days, take into account public holidays and weekend holidays.
Internship notebooks are kept in English by students included in the 100% English program and a Turkish summary is attached.
Note: Those who need an approved transcript for internship applications should contact student affairs and request an electronic signature approved transcript.
