We supported the OPENLAB 5 event

We provided support to the OPENLAB-5 event organized by the Gebze Technical University IEEE student branch on December 23-24, 2023, representing the Institute of Biotechnology, Kutman Lab. Within the framework of this event, we examined the elemental contents of 4 different brands of multivitamins and multimineral supplements. We ensured that students from various departments of our university who attended the event were knowledgeable about sample preparation for elemental analysis, conducting wet digestion using a pressurized microwave, and analyzing with the ICP-OES device. Our Research Assistant Burak Tunçbaş, Instructor Şükran Duman, and our master's student, Rıfat Buğra Bildiri, provided hands-on training to the students who participated in the event.
