How should the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility Invitation/Acceptance Letter be?

Obtaining a valid invitation letter from an institution/company in a country within the scope of Erasmus+ and submitting it at the time of application allows you to get additional points and your Erasmus+ Mobility for Internship application will be evaluated.

It is the responsibility of our students to find an internship institution abroad and obtain an invitation letter from the institution in question.

About the Format and Content of the Invitation Letter:

1) Your invitation letter must be printed on the letterhead of the institution/company you have contacted for the internship.

(What is letterhead: The type of paper used for official correspondence of offices and companies is called letterhead. It is a ready-formatted paper with the logo, address and contact information of the company)

2) It must be signed by an authorized person at the institution where you will do your internship.

3) It must be stamped with a stamp or seal.

(What is a stamp: A stamp is a tool used by companies or individuals to indicate and show to whom a document belongs, that the document has been approved and is official. It may contain information such as the name of the approving person, his/her position, address, etc.)

4) In your invitation letter;

a) Your Name-Surname,

b) In which department of which academic unit of Gebze Technical University you are a student,

c) In which date range (specifying day-month-year) you will do your internship in the relevant institution,

(Erasmus+ internship activity cannot be shorter than 2 months, weekends are included as working day. Example; July 10, 2024 - September 11, 2024)

d) You will do your internship within the scope of "Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility",

e) What tasks the organization in question expects you to perform and in which department (if specific) you will be doing your internship.

Important Notes:

1) It should be clear from the content of your invitation letter that the internship you will do is an activity that gives you professional experience in your field of study and involves professional practice. Activities such as research and thesis work cannot be carried out within the scope of Erasmus+ Internship Mobility.

2) Within the scope of Erasmus+, internships in EU institutions are not possible.

3) The invitation letter must be in English.

4) The legible version sent to you via e-mail from the organization where the internship will be done must be submitted.
