Bekir TEKİNERDOĞAN, Professor, WEGENINGEN UNIVERSITY

Bedir Tekinerdoğan is a full professor and chairholder of the Information Technology group at Wageningen University, The Netherlands. He has more than 25 years of experience in information technology and software/systems engineering. He is the author of around 400 peer-reviewed scientific papers with more than 100 journal articles and 8 edited books. He has developed more than 20 academic and industrial software and systems engineering courses and provided these to dozens of companies in The Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, and India. His current research at Wageningen University concerns smart system of systems engineering, with an emphasis on software engineering, artificial intelligence, and information technology. The presentation will further address the challenges of incorporating AI and digital innovations into agriculture and underscore the critical need for digital ecosystems specific to precision agriculture. These ecosystems, as vital collaborative networks, encourage innovation, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and ensure broad access to technology.
