22 SEPTEMBER 2023 - UNDERGRADUATE ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM FOR DGS & YÖS STUDENTS

Dear GTU Undergraduate Students,

Students who pass through DGS, the Undergraduate English Proficiency Exam will be held face-to-face in the Foreign Languages main building on Friday , September 22, 2023, between 10:00 - 13:00 . Click for class lists.

Exam duration is 180 minutes. There are a total of 80 questions in the exam. The exam consists of Listening ( note taking & while listening ), use of English, vocabulary and reading sections, and is multiple choice. The exam will start with the " listening " part and candidates who arrive late will not be admitted to the " listening " part.

All students are required to have their student IDs and TR IDs with them during the exam. If you do not have a student ID, a student certificate obtained from the student affairs office or via the e-government system is also accepted. Foreign students are required to have their passports with them. Students who do not have any identification card will not be allowed into the exam. 

IMPORTANT NOTE : PLACEMENT EXAM for our students who are confirmed to study in the preparatory department will be held on Monday, 2 OCTOBER 2023 . Information about this exam will be provided after the proficiency exam is completed.
