2022-2023 SPRING SEMESTER INFORMATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Dear GTU Undergraduate Students,

As of Monday, February 27, 2023, we will start the spring semester courses of the 2022-2023 academic year. On the same day, absenteeism will be followed up and  an orientation will be made regarding the spring semester process. Therefore, it will be in your best interest to come to the classes on the day and time given.

Our spring semester courses will be online within the framework of the decision of YÖK. in We will use Microsoft Teams for online lessons. You can access the Teams program with your active gtu e -mail addresses and passwords. You can access the Teams program from internet browsers, or you can download the program as an application to your phones and computers.

As in the fall semester, your advisors will add you to your classes via the Teams and start the meetings on the Teams on course days. Before the classes start, you can learn about your advisor from the "Undergraduate Advisory List" file, which will be published in the coming days, and contact him/her about the points that you want to ask.

As in the fall semester, we will conduct our lessons in two groups, morning and afternoon in the spring semester. 1. Group students will attend classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, and Tuesday and Thursday afternoon; Group 2 students will attend classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The lessons of the 1st group will start at 09:00 on Monday, and the lessons of the 2nd group will start at 13:00 on Monday.

At this point, if the name of the class you are in starts with the letter A , it means you are A Level , if it starts with the letter B , it means B Level , if it starts with AR , it means you are A Repeat . In addition, the number after the letter Level indicates which group you are in. For example; If you are in A1-104 class, you are a 1st Group A Level student, if you are in A2-105 class, you are a 2nd Group A-Level student. All A Repeat class students are Group 1, and all B Level students are Group 2.

In addition, as the Department of Foreign Languages, we will conduct our lessons in only two buildings starting this term. You can also understand which building you will attend the class in from your class names. Regardless of level and group, if your class number is between 100-204 , Foreign Languages Main Building, if the number is between 301-314 , it means you will study in the Old Business Administration (UZEM) building. We will start the lessons online, but if a new decision is made by YÖK and face-to-face education is started, you will continue your lessons in the relevant buildings.
