2022 -2023 COURSEBOOK INFORMATION
RESOURCES FOR OUR UNDERGRADUATE ENGLISH PREPARATORY STUDENTS
Dear students,
The books we will use during the 2022-2023 Autumn and Spring semesters will be through Oxford University Publishing. After you learn your level according to the results of the placement test, you can obtain your books as stated below. Our university has absolutely no commercial expectation or responsibility for these sales. However, since there is only one regional authority for the sale of the relevant books, and the purchases made outside of this, there will be a possibility of piracy, no book list will be presented. The purchase and use of illegally printed books is against the law and constitutes a criminal offence.
The sales of the books will be made online between September 26 and October 3, 2022 , and the distribution of the purchased books will be done by the publishing house on October 4, 2022 by setting up a stand in the main building of the Department of Foreign Languages. Therefore, students who decide to buy their books from the publishing house should have purchased their books before this date. Since the distribution of the book will be on the specified date, do not forget to take your purchased books from the stand.
Additional materials other than course books will be shared with you by your advisors.
Steps to Follow for Book Purchase:
- We visit https://www.gulerkitabevi.com
- On the main page, we click on the phrase " Okul satışı için tıklayınız ", which also includes the logos of the schools.
- Choose “Gebze Teknik Universitesi” from the list
- On the next page, we go down and select our class level
- A message will appear saying "Lütfen kitap kodunu giriniz". At this point , for the Prep. A level enter Gtu2022haza and for Prep. B enter Gtu2022hazb as the codeword.
- Click on the "Hemen Al" button and add it to the basket.
- Click "Alışverişi Tamamla" button.
- Complete the purchase by filling in the required information.
Note for B Level students: Your second semester books will not be included in this semester's sale in case you fail and start in level A in the spring semester. Before the start of the spring semester, an announcement will be made for your second semester resources.
