General Information

Research in our laboratory focuses on the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotic cells. Current experiments in the lab are directed at understanding the molecular mechanisms of isoflavone-induced downregulation of certain genes in prostate cancer cells. Our aim is not only to obtain further insights on the molecular mechanisms through which isoflavones exert their effect in cancerous cells, but to provide contribution on the context of development of more effective chemopreventive and therapeutic strategies.
