Prof. Muhammed Hasan ASLAN (2018 - 2022)

Prof. Aslan, who served as the Vice Rector of Gebze Technical University before his appointment as the Rector, was born in Istanbul on August 20, 1967. After completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at Istanbul University, Department of Physics, Aslan received his PhD from Colorado School of Mines in the United States of America. He was first appointed as an assistant professor at Gebze Institute of Technology (GIT), Faculty of Science, Department of Physics in 1999, then as an associate professor in January 2006. In 2015, he became a professor at Gebze Technical University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics. At GIT, he served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science, Assistant Director of the Institute of Engineering and Science, Deputy Head of the Department of Physics, Director of the Gebze Technical University Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, and finally the Vice Rector. Aslan is married with two children.
