Application Deadline for Technology Transfer Award 2023 Extended to 15 March 2024
The award ceremony of the 4th competition, organized by the "Technology Transfer and Exchange Network" (D-8 TTEN) under the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, aiming to promote the best technology transfer practices among member countries and support international collaboration, will take place at Gebze Technical University (GTU) Congress and Cultural Center.
To be eligible for this year's competition, (1) the technology transfer agreement is to have taken place between January 01, 2023, and December 31, 2023, (2) the contract agreement is to be based on technology transfer, and the parties involved in the agreement are to be the residents of D-8 member countries or countries within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
D-8 member countries are Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) includes 57 countries such as Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Djibouti, Chad, Indonesia, Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Palestine, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Iraq, Iran, Cameroon, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Comoros, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Maldives, Malaysia, Mali, Egypt, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Suriname, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Oman, Jordan, and Yemen.
While applications from all fields are accepted, priority areas for 2023 include financial technologies, smart manufacturing systems, climate change and sustainability, e-commerce technologies, smart education technologies, artificial intelligence, defense, unmanned aerial vehicles, bioinformatics, data analytics/big data, and cybersecurity.
