Outstanding Young Scientist Award Goes to GTU Faculty

Associate Professor Rezan Demir Çakan (PhD) from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at GTU takes her place among the outstanding young scientists of the year

As a result of the evaluation made under the Turkish Academy of Sciences' Young Scientists Award Programme, 37 young scientists with outstanding success from 23 different universities have been deemed worthy of the TÜBA-GEBİP Award. Taking her place among the Oustanding Young Scientists, who are announced every year, Assoc. Prof. Rezan Demir Çakan (PhD) from GTU's Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering is conducting her studies at GTU on the synthesis, characterization and electrochemical analyses of electrode materials for the development of next-generation chargable batteries.

The awards will be granted to their owners at the ceremony to be organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. As GTU Family, we congratulate Professor Çakan and wish her continued success.
