Chief Ombudsman Malkoç Praises GTU

Chief Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç delivers a talk at the "Justice, Ombudsmanship and Universities" seminar organized at GTU

The event started with the Healthy Living Walk organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. Participants including citizens coming from Gebze and other districts in Kocaeli went for a walk on GTU's Walking Trail, and were offered breakfast following the walk. Then, they took their place at GTU's Electronics Engineering Lecture Hall 1, where the seminar by Şeref Malkoç, the Chief Ombudsman for the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, took place.

GTU Rector Prof. Muhammed Hasan Aslan (PhD), Vice Rectors Prof. Nilay Coşgun (PhD) and Prof. Arif Çağdaş Aydınoğlu (PhD), Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu, Ombudsman Sadettin Kalkan, Kocaeli and Gebze officials, GTU academic, administrative staff and students were all present at both the walk and the seminar.

In his talk addressing the GTU students, Chief Ombudsman Malkoç said that they have such opportunities at GTU that most university students in Turkey do not have and advised that they should make use of them and strive to become "the best" in their fields.
