Future Career Opportunities Discussed at BTG

The 5th Science and Technology Days (BTG), organized by IEEE GTU Student Society, successfully came to an end. As the most established event of GTU, the BTG this year also got the chance to be the first career-focused event to take place at the IT Valley of Turkey, which is Turkey's technology base. At the event, which took place on May 2nd and 3rd, 2018, consisted of a total of 9 sessions with the participation of C-level executives from leading companies including SAHA İstanbul, VESTEL DEFENCE,  ASELSAN, Siemens Healthcare, Türk Telekom, LOGO, FUJITSU, D&R, Oracle Turkey, IBM Turkey, and MYNET.

The topics discussed at the panels were gathered under two categories, which are defense industry and IT industry. The highlights included raw material shortage, processing of raw materials, Blockchain, Fintech and Big Data, Digital Revolution and AI, cloud computing and omnichannel services. Sector professionals shared their experiences with the students and shed light on their career path.
