Students Ready To Start On Traineeship Journey

The Traineeship Consortium, which will help students go on traineeships and gain job experience in Europe recently held its first meeting.

Coordinated by GTU and membered by Boğaziçi University, Sabancı University, Şişecam, Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB), Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce, Plast-Fed and PHI Tech, The Traineeship Consortium held its first meeting at GTU campus after the funding process. At the meeting attended by representatives from Boğaziçi University, Sabancı University, Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and PHI Tech, the operation and the future of the consortium was discussed. Founded in 2017 and funded by Turkish National Agency as a result of the student and staff mobility project, under university – industry collaboration, the Consortium will help students go on traineeships and gain job experience, which will help them transfer their experience to our country and get an opportunity to find a job in Europe in return. The traineeship application announcements by the GTU-coordinated Consortium will be made on GTU’s website. Similar to the Erasmus+ traineeship programme already conducted by GTU, students will now have the chance to go on traineeships under the Consortium’s roof.
