GTU Academician in TÜBA Energy Workshop

Associate Professor Mehmet Melikoğlu, a faculty member of the Chemical Engineering Department at GTU, participated as an invited guest in “Clean Coal Technologies Workshop and Panel” organized by TÜBA (Turkish Academy of Sciences) - Energy Working Group at Middle East Technical University on July 6, 2017. Our faculty member spoke at the first panel titled “Coal Energy, Turkey’s Policies and Strategy” and responded to the audience’s questions about the coal topic as his field of expertise, within the scope of Turkey’s Energy Vision for 2023.

Associate Professor Melikoğlu has many articles on Turkey’s energy policies, goals, and Energy Vision for 2023, published in international journals with high impact factor (>8.0) and frequently cited in the academic circles. In light of his studies, Melikoğlu explained the importance of coal in the achievement of our country’s Energy Vision goals for 2023.
