GTU Raises Awareness for Scientific Literacy

Gebze Technical University (GTU) has added another activity to its social contribution efforts aimed at fostering a love for science, sparking curiosity, and raising awareness.

One of the school visits, aimed at promoting scientific literacy and fostering a love for science across all age groups, was organized to Gebze Sultan Ayhan Primary School. Coinciding with the World "DNA Day" on April 25, the visit enabled elementary school students to design bracelets based on the DNA sequencing of different organisms, together with the master's and doctoral students of GTU's Institute of Biotechnology. The visit, led by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Damla Arısan, also forms part of the social contribution activities under the university-industry collaboration signed with Ayhanlar Holding.
