GTU Wins Two Medals at Once

Sinem Şerife Eryiğit, an athlete from Gebze Technical University (GTU) Swimming Team, won two medals at the swimming competition held at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She placed second in the 100-meter backstroke category and third in the 200-meter freestyle category.

The swimming competition, organized for the fourth time in memory of Halit Ayar by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) on April 20-21, 2024, saw participation from GTU Swimming Team athletes Sinem Şerife Eryiğit, Ömer Faruk Güleç, and Efe Durdu. Sinem Şerife Eryiğit competed in the 50 and 200-meter freestyle, and the 50 and 100-meter backstroke categories, Ömer Faruk Güleç competed in the 50 and 100-meter breaststroke, and the 50 and 100-meter freestyle categories, while Efe Durdu competed in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly categories. Sinem Şerife Eryiğit secured a second place in the 100-meter backstroke category and a third place in the 200-meter freestyle category, winning two medals.
