GTU Rector Hands Over His Office to Children

GTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar symbolically handed over his chair to children for April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

On this 104th anniversary of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, students and teachers from Özel Gebze Minik Çınar Kindergarten, located within the Gebze Technical University (GTU) campus, visited the Rector's Office. During the visit, GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar symbolically passed on the executive chair to Ertuğrul Sezer, Kutay Nasuhoğlu, and Eylül Yılgın. Prof. Dr. Mantar expressed great pleasure in hosting the young students on this day, which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk dedicated to all the children of the world, and extended his best wishes to all children on the occasion of April 23.

In a message shared on social media, Rector Hacı Ali Mantar emphasized that children are the guarantee of our future and shared in their joy. He stated, "April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day allows us to envision a world filled with the joy and hope of children, who are the guarantee of the future of the Republic of Türkiye. Today, we share in the joy of our children and wish for their smiles to forever illuminate our world. You, as the adults of tomorrow, are today's most precious gift to us. Happy holiday to us all."
