Library Week Awards Find Their Winners

The Directorate of Library and Documentation of Gebze Technical University (GTU) organized a Celebration and Award Ceremony within the scope of the 60th Library Week. The event took place on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 10:00 am, and was attended by the University Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Elif Damla Arısan, and Secretary-General Nadir Yıldırım.

During the ceremony, Acting Director of Library and Documentation, Salim Yıldız, delivered a brief opening speech, discussing the library activities and expressing satisfaction with the Rector's participation. Rector Mantar extended his congratulations for the Library Week and thanked the library staff and administration. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of the library for the country and the university, expressing his satisfaction with its activities.

Books and various gifts were presented to those who donated to the library qualified publications the most in 2023, as well as to the academic, administrative staff, and students who borrowed publications the most. The event concluded with a group photo taken in the library hall.
