GTU & Universiti Utara Malaysia To Collaborate

A collaboration agreement aimed at research, joint projects, and exchange of academics and students is signed between GTU and UUM.

The MoU Signing Ceremony organized by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) took place on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Shangri-La Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, with the graceful presence of Dear Mr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education. Attending the signing ceremony were GTU Vice-Rectors Prof. Hasari Çelebi and Prof. Mahmut Durmuş; Prof. Yusuf Sinan Akgül, GTU Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Asst. Prof. Sohaib Solaija from the Institute of Defense Technologies.

On Monday, March 4, 2024, Prof. Osman Ghazali, UUM Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Azahar Bin Kasim, UUM Corporate Relations Coordinator; and Mohd Azri Abdul Aziz, UUM International Relations Officer,  conducted collaboration discussions at GTU campus. A meeting was held with Prof. İbrahim Soğukpınar, Head of GTU Department of Computer Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Göktürk, Director of GTU Institute of Information Technologies; and faculty members from GTU Faculty of Engineering to discuss joint projects in the field of computer engineering. Following the first meeting, another meeting was held with Prof. Oğul Esen, Director of GTU Cyber Security Vocational School, and the teaching staff.
