100th Year Sports Tournament Award Ceremony Held

The 100th Year Sports Tournament Awards Ceremony, organized within the scope of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of our Republic, is held.
The 100th Year Sports Tournament Awards Ceremony, organized by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports (SKS) of Gebze Technical University (GTU), took place at the Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ayhan Sports Hall. GTU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Durmuş, Rector's Adviser Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Yüksel, GTU Secretary-General Nadir Yıldırım, GTU Executive Assistant to the Rector Dinçer Ekinci, SKS Director Bülent Çetin, and academic and administrative staff, along with students, attended the ceremony.
Following a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, GTU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Durmuş delivered a welcoming speech. The 100th Year Sports Tournament, which had been ongoing for approximately a month and involved seven hundred participants from among GTU students and staff, featured competitions in basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, and badminton.
In the tournament, which brought together students and staff in individual and team sports through the unifying power of sports, athletes and teams who gracefully experienced the excitement of competition and rivalry were rewarded with trophies and medals.
In table tennis competitions, Nisa Şahin took the 3rd place, Berkut Alpi the 2nd place, and Mehmet Melik Çalışkan the 1st place.
In badminton competitions, for men, Bilal Gökçe took the 3rd place, Muhammed Kıraneli the 2nd place, and Yusuf Eren Nalbant the 1st place while for women, Feyza Üstünsoy took the 3rd place, Tuna Deniz Çelik the 2nd place, and Züleyha Koçak the 1st place.
In volleyball competitions, the 1st place went to Salatasaray Team, the 2nd place to KYK Sultans, and the 3rd place to Filenin Mühendisleri Team, who received medals and trophies.
In football competitions, the 1st place went to 90+3 Team, the 2nd place to Baret Munich Team, and the 3rd place to Gazzespor Team, who received medals and trophies.
In staff football competitions, the 1st place went to GTU Security Team, the 2nd place to Ayyıldız Sports Team, and the 3rd place to HCS Team, who received medals and trophies.
In basketball competitions, the 1st place went to HIZLILAR Team, the 2nd place to KDRama Team, and the 3rd place to 2 DEN 1 Team, who received medals and trophies.
