ASELSAN Academy Machine Learning Workshop

Machine Learning Workshop, organized by GTU for ASELSAN employees offers 140 ASELSAN employees opportunity to apply theoretical information.

Gebze Technical University (GTU) organized the "ASELSAN Academy Machine Learning Workshop" for ASELSAN employees on December 14-18, 2023. The workshop was conducted with the participation of faculty members from GTU's Department of Computer Engineering, including Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sinan Akgül, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Habil Kalkan; and Assistant Prof.  Dr. Yakup Genç as the organizers. The workshop was organized under the guidance of GTU research assistants, doctoral students, and undergraduate alumni. 

The workshop, held in two separate groups at the ASELSAN Gölbaşı Campus attracted great interest. The participants were provided with both theoretical knowledge and the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice. GTU's experienced academics, research assistants, and alumni guided the participants during the event.

The aim of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge and skills of ASELSAN employees in the field of machine learning and emphasize the importance of this field for the defense industry. The workshop covered the fundamental concepts, algorithms, and applications of machine learning. Participants also developed practical applications in their areas of interest.
