GTU is in the top ten of public universities

GTU has secured a place in the top 10 among public universities in the 2022 Performance Index for Research Universities determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

The results of the "Research Universities Performance Monitoring Index," which evaluates the performances of universities participating in the "Research-Oriented Mission Differentiation Program" under the "Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project in Higher Education" by YÖK, have been announced at the Research Universities Performance Evaluation meeting held at Ege University under the chairmanship of YÖK's President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. GTU has maintained its position in the top 10 of public universities.

Research Universities were evaluated by YÖK under the headings of "Research Capacity," "Research Quality," and "Interaction and Cooperation." Universities were rated based on a total of 32 indicators, including scientific publication count, citation count, national-international project count, funds obtained from projects, number of science awards, number of faculty-industry collaborations, research and development (R&D), and patent count.
