"Good Practice" Label for EU Project Coordinated by GTU

The team led by Prof. Dr. Selçuk Toprak from the Faculty of Engineering at GTU has achieved significant success with the SMARTEnvi project.
The project team, led by Prof. Dr. Selçuk Toprak and consisting of Prof. Dr. Banu Çetin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Balçık, and Research Assistant Oğuz Dal from the Faculty of Engineering at (GTU), has been awarded the "Good Practice" label by the Turkish National Agency for their EU Erasmus+ project called the SMARTEnvi, carried out under the coordination of GTU. This prestigious label was awarded to only 2 out of 132 projects completed by the year 2023.
The "Good Practice" label is an approval given by the Erasmus+ National Agency for projects that are particularly well-managed and can serve as an inspiration for other projects. The evaluation is based on three main criteria: the alignment of project results with its objectives, the overall quality of project management and implementation, and the dissemination of project impacts and results.
While GTU played a significant role as the coordinator of the project, other project partners included: Pamukkale University, Fano Municipality (Italy), Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, Training 2000 (Italy), Silesian University of Technology (Poland), Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), Research and Development Biointech (Bulgaria), and Universitatea Petrol-Gaze din Ploiesti (Romania).
Social partners included: Network of Municipalities in the Apennine Mountains (Italy), Gebze Chamber of Civil Engineers, ECO Knowledge GT (Bulgaria), Denizli Chamber of Environmental Engineers, Research Organization and Manufacture of Bioproducts (Bulgaria), and Polish Society of Circular Economy (Poland).
