4th International Enzyme and Bioprocess Days

"The 4th International Enzyme and Bioprocess Days" Congress is held under the coordination of Gebze Technical University (GTU).

The 4th International Enzyme and Bioprocess Days (EBDays), organized within the framework of the Gebze Enzyme Recognition Center program supported by the Eastern Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), took place at Kafkas University, hosted by Kafkas University and coordinated by Gebze Technical University at the Kafkas University Ahmet Arslan Cultural and Congress Center.

Opening Speeches

The congress began with the opening speech by Prof. Dr. Engin Kılıç, Vice Rector of Kafkas University. Then, the Congress Organizing Committee Chair, Assistant Professor Dr. Yunus Ensari provided information about the purpose and scope of the congress. Co-Coordinator of the congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Binay emphasized the importance of the congress on local and national levels.

Intense Interest from National and International Participants

Throughout the three-day congress, a total of 34 different universities, research institutes, companies, students, and scholars from Germany, France, Greece, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Türkiye participated. Within the scope of the congress, a total of 10 invited speeches, 39 oral presentations, and 12 poster presentations were delivered on various important topics such as enzyme engineering, enzyme discovery, enzyme mechanism, enzyme kinetics, enzyme purification technologies, enzyme-based technologies, enzyme applications, bioprocess for high-value chemicals, bioprocess development, computational studies for enzymes, and bioprocess.

Award Ceremony and Social Activities

At the end of the congress, participation certificates were presented to the participants, and all the speakers were thanked for their contributions to the congress. Additionally, on the first day of the congress, a gala dinner was held accompanied by live music and a Caucasian dance show. In the afternoon of the second day, social activities such as a tour of the Ani Ruins were organized.
