Portable Power : Fuel cells can provide power where no electric grid is available, plus they are quiet. Portable fuel cells are also being used in emergency backup power situations
and military applications. They are much lighter than batteries and last a lot longer, especially imporant to soldiers carrying heavy equipment in the field.

The aim of this project is to develop a national 100W fuel cell and fuel feed system using Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. Care will be taken to prepare the system small and lightweight.
• By integrating a SOFC fuel cell system coupled with a Propane cartridge system it is assumed that the survaillance time os a portable soldie power unit operating with a battery will be improvbed from 24 Hour to 72 hours. Several countries improved their survaillance time 100% by purchasing a fuel cell system from commercial companies.
• It is planned to manufacture high performance micro tubular solid oxidefuel cell system and fuel feed cartridge system components, nationally. During this study, it is proposed to manufacture the catalyst, fuel cell (MEA), flow field plates and cartridge system, nationally.
• This project is being carried out under the supervision of Gebze Technical University, partnering with the Koceli University.
