GTU Rector Professor Haluk Görgün Gives Lecture To High School Students

GTU Rector Professor Haluk Görgün comes together with Yücel Boru Science High School's senior year students and also signs a collaboration protocol with the school management

Following an invitation made by Yücel Boru Science High School, one of the accomplished schools of the Gebze region, GTU Rector Professor Haluk Görgün recently paid a visit. As the guest of the Yücel Boru Science High's Civilization Club, Professor Görgün was received by the School Principal İsmail Boğa, the teachers and the students. Making a presentation titled "Career and Future Management" for senior year students at the seminar hall of the high school, Görgün gave information that will help students plan their career. Shedding light on the future of the world and Turkey, Görgün advised that the students choose a profession they will feel content with. Highlighting the areas that Turkey needs to make a breakthrough, Görgün also provided information about the jobs and the fields of work of the future. Görgün allocated a considerable part of his presentation to answering students' questions. At the end of the presentation, students presented Görgün with flowers. Following his presentation, Görgün came together with the school's teachers in the teacher's room and had a chat with them for a while.

As part of his visit, Professor Haluk Görgün also joined the ceremony for the collaboration protocol between GTU and Yücel Boru Science High School, which covers headings such as education, academic study, and social and cultural issues. The protocol, the first of which was signed in 2015, was renewed at the ceremony that took place in the teacher's room with the participation of Professor Görgün, School Principal İsmail Boğa, and the school teachers. At the end of the visit, Professor Görgün received thanks both for his visit and the interest he has shown as a university rector who finds academically valuable and supports the secondary education institutions in Turkey.
