Gebze Technical University Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences offers a high-quality graduate education and research environment with its qualified and
experienced teaching staff and advanced technological infrastructure. Among the goals of our institute are to reach advanced levels in scientific quality, to be
one of the leading institutions of science, to contribute to the development of our country and the world science, to open new graduate programs by following
international developments and social requirements in the fields of science and technology, to work in priority research areas, and to be an institution that
graduates highly qualified and distinguished scientists.
Our institute supports new interdisciplinary graduate programs for the development of university-public-industry cooperation. Some industry and R&D companies
in the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK, Marmara Research Center), the Turkish Standards
Institute (TSE), ŞİŞECAM and some local government agencies in our region are currently among the institutions we cooperate with under the framework of
protocols we signed. Our University, as one of the four premier research universities throughout Turkey, provides graduate education for the ASELSAN defense
industry staff in Computer and Electronics Engineering within the ASELSAN Academy Program.
At Gebze Technical University selected as one of the 10 research universities in Turkey, the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences currently offers 15 Ph.D., 20
M.Sc., and 3 M.Sc. Non-thesis programs under 16 departments. As of the 2019-2020 academic year, 1457 Master’s and 566 Doctoral students from Turkey and
24 other countries continue their graduate studies at our institute.
This catalog provides information about the research areas and contact information of the faculty members of our institute's departments, and the thesis studies
of 155 M.Sc and 55 Ph.D students who graduated from our graduate programs in 2020. We think that the catalog will help researchers who want to work at
graduate level at our university, employees of public institutions, industrialists and private sector entrepreneurs who want to contribute to our education process
and collaborate.
