Department of Economics
Economics is a social science that mainly deals with the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services and examines how individuals, businesses, and governments make choices about the allocation of resources. The realization that economic events are effective in all areas of life has caused this branch of science to gain more importance over time. In today’s dynamic globalization processes, the correct interpretation of economic, social, and political developments in the country and in the world is possible with a comprehensive and strong economics education. In this context, the Department of Economics, which provides both undergraduate and graduate education under the Faculty of Business Administration of Gebze Technical University,
