Department of Chemistry

Currently, 15 professors, 4 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, 1 lecturer, 21 research assistants including 3 associate professors and 8 teaching assistants with PhDs, 4 specialists, 2 technicians and 1 officer work under the department.  Our main areas of research include phosphazene chemistry, chemical sensors, macrocyclic compounds, phthalocyanines, enzyme immobilization, biotechnology, biodiesel production, computational chemistry, computer aided molecular design, adsorption, ion exchange, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, conductive polymers, functional polymers, and synthesis of monomers and macromonomers.
