Accordingly, the need for individuals who can manage information, technology and people together is increasing everywhere.

Management Information Systems is a field that combines business and informatics. Today, with the innovations brought by the developments in the field of informatics to business science, much more effective and efficient decision-making processes have emerged. Furthermore, the Management of Information Systems has become a management issue in itself. Considering that management and informatics cover almost every area of life, it is important to train individuals who have managerial skills to develop and manage Management Information Systems.

In this context, the Management Information Systems undergraduate program is designed to provide students with intensive knowledge on programming languages, computer and network technologies, database, technology trends, economics, e-commerce and software project management. In addition, our students are offered courses in areas such as marketing, management and organization, finance, statistics, and decision-making techniques.

As Gebze Technical University Department of Management Information Systems, our aim is to give graduates with qualifications who:

(*) Have the ability to work effectively as a professional in the field of MIS, both in national and international organizations, to transform business requirements into technology-based solutions and new technology developments into business capabilities

(*) Have the ability to continue postgraduate education in Computer, Information Systems, Information Technologies, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems or related fields in both national and international institutions by gaining the necessary knowledge in theory and practice,

(*) Have a deep understanding of business and professional responsibilities related to the use of information systems in organizations in both national and international settings, based on universal, ethical values.
