The matter of occupational health and safety was addressed with the law numbered 6331 for the first time in Turkey. Whether they work for the public or private sector, all employees are included in this law, and with a preventive approach instead of a prescriptive one, risks assessments are made for job accidents and occupational diseases, periodic health examinations are carried out and the records related to job accidents and occupational diseases are updated accordingly. In addition, emergency action plans are prepared and employees are trained, and effective and administrative sanctions are applied in order to make easier the enforcement of the law.
