Off-Campus Access e-Library Portal
VETIS (Database Access and Statistics System)
With VETİS (Database Access and Statistics System), our users will be able to benefit from all our electronic resources both outside the campus (without setting a proxy) or inside the campus. Our users can start using the system by logging in with their library membership passwords.
How to access databases remotely with the VETİS Off-Campus Access System:
- In order to access electronic resources from anywhere, you must activate your Vetis Off-Campus Access System membership.
- In order to use VETİS, you must have a library membership (if you have borrowed from the library before, that means you have a library membership).
- Our users who do not have a membership must register with their "@gtu.edu.tr" e-mail address and student number/personnel registration number in the registration section (SIGN IN/REGISTER). (If you receive a warning that you are already registered in the system, click the Forgot Password button to get a new password. If you do not receive password information on your e-mail address, please send an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Our users can access VETİS from the "Off-Campus Access System" section on the left menu of our library web page, or by using the VETİS [Off-Campus Access] link from the menu on the left after logging in with the membership information (username, password) on the library catalog browsing screen.
Note: The same user name and password are used in the Library Automation System (Catalog Scanning) and the Vetis Off-Campus Access System. However, in order to log on to the Library Automation System (Catalog Scanning), your library membership must be active. This does not apply to Vetis.
