Overview

Objectives

- Ensure that students become familiar with the history, development and evolution of the Turkish language

- Ensure that students use grammar, spelling and punctuation rules of the Turkish language in an accurate and complete manner

- Support students' personal and professional development with smooth, error-free, fluent and effective Turkish

- Ensure that students can express themselves and their qualifications in front of people in a competent manner

- Provide a basis for students so that they can talk about social, current, artistic or scientific issues and can express their feelings and opinions with confidence

Tasks, Authority and Responsibilities

Head of Department:

- Designates the faculty member to teach the Turkish course in line with the undergraduate departments' requests.

- Supervises and monitors the assigned instructors in terms of fulfillment of duty.

- Fulfills the duties assigned by the authorized bodies.

Responsibilities: He/She is responsible for education, teaching and research conducted at the Department, and the proper and effective fulfillment of every activity related to the Department.

Academic Staff:

- Ensures that classes take place effectively and on time in line with the course schedule and curriculum defined by the Department

- Prepares the activity reports requested at the end of every academic year.

- Works to improve his/her classes in line with the results of surveys the students fill out at the end of every semester.

- Fulfills the duties assigned by the authorized bodies.

- Fulfills other duties assigned as per the relevant legislation.

- Works in accordance with the quality management system.

 Responsibilities: He/She is responsible towards the Head of Department.
