Welcome to Gebze Technical University Prof. Dr. Nejat Göyünç Library

Our Library's duty is to provide the information resources needed within the framework of the education and research programs of our University in the shortest time and in an economical way. GTU Library serves in a closed area of ​​4,177 square meters in Çayırova Campus. 

The Library Collection, which has developed rapidly in recent years, consists of 24.301 printed books, 6.408 printed theses, 304.862 electronic books, 66 databases with ongoing subscriptions, 78.255 electronic periodicals, 816 CDs, VCDs and DVDs.

In line with the opinions and suggestions of our faculty members, the data entry of the books purchased or donated is made according to the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules II and the Library of Congress Classification Scheme, and they are offered for use with an open shelf system.

YORDAM Library Automation System has been in use for our library since July 1, 2006.

With the improvements we try to make by fulfilling the requirements of contemporary librarianship, our main goal is to provide our University, which aims to gain an internationally respected place in science and technology production, with an environment of access to information-documentation with an ever-increasing sensitivity, depth and scope.
