As Gebze Technical University, we are deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake that struck Kahramanmaraş and 9 other cities of Türkiye, as all our citizens are. We believe that the damage caused as a result of this natural disaster and the interrupted life will go back to normal thanks to the strong efforts of our state and nation. As the Turkish nation, we have always been able to preserve our unity and solidarity during times like these. We have no doubt that the whole world will witness it one more time.

As Kocaeli region, we very well know the challenges natural disasters such as the 1999 Marmara Earthquake pose and their consequences, which turn people's lives upside-down. We are ready to help our citizens and beloved nation who have been affected by the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake. We wish fast recovery for the injured and peaceful rest for those who have lost their lives.
