Dr. Motoharu Jinguuji Visits GTU Under Academic Collaboration

Dr. Motoharu Jinguuji from National Institute for Advanced Science and Technology of Japan recently visited GTU under academic collaboration. Currently working on the topic "Detection and Prevention of Ground Damages Due to Earthquakes"  with Prof. Dr. Selçuk Toprak from the Department of Civil Engineering at GTU, Dr. Jinguuji delivered a seminar titled "Assessment of Soil Liquefaction Potential Using the Geotechnical and Geophysical Methods" on Monday, March 25, 2019,  and participated in some other meetings throughout the day. The seminar and the meetings were attended by internal and external students, academics, public and private sector staff, and solutions to geotechnical problems were discussed.

At the meeting presided by GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammed Hasan Aslan, inter-institutional collaboration and establishment of ties between and development of technological products by scholars from different disciplines were assessed.
