Multi-Omics Approaches Discussed At GTU's Biotechnology Seminar Series

Assistant Prof. Sercan Karav (PhD) from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, delivers seminar titled "Multi-Omics Approaches for Understanding the Glyco-Competence of Human Gut Microbiome" at GTU

This week's guest speaker at GTU's Biotechnology Seminar Series organized by GTU's Institute of Biotechnology was Asst. Prof. Sercan Karav (PhD) from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. 

During the seminar, Prof. Karav talked about the effect of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) on infants' gut microbiome and the structural role of linked glycans in modulating gut microbiome. He also mentioned microbial gels used to treat gut microbiome.

At the end of the seminar, Prof. Karav conducted a Q&A session, and answered participants' questions.
