Bio-Nanotechnology Approaches for the Treatment of Ocular Disorders Discussed

Sibel Çetinel (PhD) from Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center recently made a presentation titled "Bio-Nanotechnology Approaches for the Treatment of Ocular Disorders" at GTU.

Çetinel, who is a Principal Researcher at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, was this week's guest speaker at the Biotechnology Seminar Series organized by GTU's Institute of Biotechnology. 

In her talk, Çetinel focused on peptide-based treatment strategies for two ocular disorders, namely cataracts and glaucoma, which are collectively responsible for the majority of blindness cases worldwide, and the related research conducted at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center.

At the end of the seminar, Çetinel conducted a Q&A session and answered participants' questions.
