Blockchain Research Network Establishment Meeting Made

The first step to establish a Blockchain Research Network, which will provide the necessary test and development environment for blockchain researchers, has been taken under the roof of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM (TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Research Center). Universities conducting research on the subject and ULAKBİM (Turkish Academic Network and Information  Center) were invited to the opening meeting on December 28, 2018. 

At the opening meeting, the participants worked on a road map for establishment, as well as principles for establishment and working. Among the participants were TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory and academics from Gebze Technical University, Kadir Has University, Istanbul Commerce University, Antalya Bilim University, Istanbul Gedik University, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and Konya Necmettin Erbakan University. It was decided at the end of the meeting that the technical infrastructure preparations are completed and that the BAĞ (Blockchain Research Network) system is implemented at the beginning of 2019.
