Institute of Biotechnology represents GTU at Growtech Eurasia Greenhouse, Agricultural Technology and Livestock Equipment Fair
Growtech Eurasia Greenhouse, Agricultural Technology and Livestock Equipment Fair, which is one of the biggest international agriculture fairs organized in Turkey, was held for the 18th time between 28 November and 1 December 2018 in Antalya Expo Center. In the fair, which GTU participated for the first time, GTU was represented by its Institute of Technology. More than 800 companies from over 30 countries took their place in the fair, and there were nearly 85,000 visitors. GTU Institute of Biotechnology's booth at the fair attracted many visitors, with the Institute team introducing their agriculture-related competencies and R&D projects. The fair, where research assistants and students from the Institute of Biotechnology were also present, Asst. Prof. Ümit Barış Kutman (PhD), Director, Institute of Biotechnology, GTU, and Asst. Prof. Bahar Yıldız Kutman (PhD), Head of Program, Biotechnology, GTU, held talks for university-industry collaboration with several representatives of companies that particularly offer service and products in the fields including plant nutrition and fertilizers, agrochemicals and innovative agricultural technologies.
