Professor Pesen speaks at GTU's Biotechnology Institute Seminar

As part of GTU Biotechnology Institute's Seminar Series, Prof. Devrim Pesen Okvur (PhD) from İzmir Institute of Technology conducts seminar as a guest speaker 

A seminar titled "Breast Cancer Cell and Macrophages in a Paracrine-Juxtacrine Loop" was given on November 8, 2018 in the conference hall of GTU's Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. The seminar, which was conducted by Prof. Devrim Pesen Okvur (PhD) from İzmir Institute of Technology, was attended by Prof. Işıl Aksan Kurnaz (PhD), Director, Institute of Biotechnology; Prof. Uygar Halis Tazebay (PhD), Head of Department, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, members of academic staff and students. During the seminar, Prof. Okvur provided information about the cancer research she conducts at İzmir Institute of Technology, the Initio Biotechnology initiative, and her studies on microfluidic lab-on-a-chip platforms. At the end of the seminar, Prof. Okvur answered participants' questions.
