Photodynamic Day Brings Together Scientists

The 3rd GTU Photodynamic Day was held at the conference hall of GTU's Faculty of Business Administration on May 9, 2018. The event brought together many from the worlds of medicine, industry, and science. Mathias O. Senge (Ireland), Ayşe Gül Gürek (Turkey), Indranil Roy (the US), Vincent Sol (France), Pilar Acedo (the UK), Kristian Berg (Norway), Giovanni Romano (Italy) were the guest speakers of the event, where they presented their studies in the field, and the opening speech of this international event was made by GTU's Acting Rector Prof. Muhammed Hasan Aslan (PhD). Stating that they will always be supporting science like they have always done up to now, Prof. Aslan thanked Teaching and Researching Faculty Member Fabienne Dumoulin (PhD), who led the organization of the event and succeeded in moving it to an international level. Prof. Aslan ended his speech stating that science is the foundation stone of development for any country.

Also within the scope of the 3rd Photodynamic Day, master's and PhD students presented 20 posters in total. Two of the presented posters were rated the best by the guest speakers and their presenters received awards at the end of the event.
