Neurodegeneration Neuroregeneration Workshop Held

The International Neurodegeneration/Neuroregeneration Workshop by Cell Death Research Society was carried out on May 4th and 5th, 2018 with the support of GTU.

The workshop, whose local organization was undertaken by Assoc. Prof. Tunahan Çakır (PhD), Head of Bioengineering Department, GTU, and Prof. Işıl Kurnaz (PhD), Director, Institute of Biotechnology, GTU, and their teams, took place at Tuzla İbis Hotel, Istanbul. More than 80 people participated in the workshop, and molecular mechanisms of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, and Huntington's were discusssed on the first day, whereas the second day was allocated for topics such as stem cell therapy, biomaterials and tissue engineering, and next generation technologies.
