Architecture/Culture/Society Seminar Series 3 and 4 take place at GTU

GTU's Faculty of Architecture has been hosting guest speakers since March 7, 2018, under the seminar series for the course coded MİM 182 and titled "Architecture/Culture/Society", and the third seminar titled "Doing Together | Architecture for Everyone" took place on March 21, 2018. The guest speakers were Emre Gündoğdu, Mihriban Duman, and Sarper Takkeci. The fourth seminar took place on March 28, 2018 and the guest speaker Can Boyacıoğlu (PhD) gave a talk titled "İnsan ve Sonrası" (Human and the Post-Human). Both seminars took place at Block N, Faculty of Architecture. The events, organized by Prof.  Ayla Ayyıldız Potur (PhD) and Research Assistant Funda Tan, will continue until the end of May.

 

About Can Boyacıoğlu, PhD

Having graduated from the Department of Architecture, Yeditepe University in 2008, Can Boyacıoğlu, completed his master's education at Istanbul Technical University in 2010 with his thesis titled "Sürdürülebilir Mimarlığın Ekosistemin Kentle Simbiyotik İlişkisi Bağlamında İncelenmesi" (Examination of Sustainable Architecture within the context of the Ecosystem's Symbiotic Relationship with the City), and completed his doctoral studies and received his PhD in 2017 with his dissertation titled "Mimarlıkta Çevreci Yaklaşımların Antroposen Kavramı Bağlamında Tartışılması" (Discussion of Ecological Approaches in Architecture within the Context of the Anthropocene Idea). Boyacıoğlu has been working at GTU as a lecturer since 2011.
