Our Future Lies In Renewable Energy

At the "Greenenergy 17" event organized by GTU's IEEE Society, the experts in the field come together with students to raise awareness about renewable energy sources

Guest speakers at the "Greenenergy 17" event, which took place at Conference Hall of GTU's Faculty of Business Administration, provided information about the types of renewable energy including solar, wind and geothermal energy. The event was organized in order to draw attention to the matter of renewable energy, which is hoped to save our future and environment, and was attended by sector representatives including Müren Güler, CEO, Global Energy; Sacit Akbaş, General Director, Fichtner Renewable Energy; Orkun Özgencil, General Director, EMTA Energy.

TURKEY IS IN AN ADVANTAGEOUS POSITION

In the sessions, the increasing levels of energy consumption were linked with the increasing population, and the attention was drawn to the fact that as long as the use of energy sources that are harmful for the environment continues, it will have serious consequences for all of us and our world. It was also highlighted that Turkey is in an advantageous position in terms of renewable energy sources, and that the necessary actions need to be taken in order to meet the need for energy in the long run. The event ended with the thank you plaques presented and photos taken.
