GTU Academic Participates In Meeting For The Conservation Of Cultural Heritage

Prof. Elif Özlem Aydın from the Department of Architecture at GTU attends the Coordination Meeting for Regional Conservation Committees

Prof. Elif Özlem Aydın from the Department of Architecture at GTU has recently attended and made her contributions at the Coordination Meeting for Regional Conservation Committees, organized by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums under the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and carried out between 1-4 December 2017 in Antalya, Turkey with the participation of Prof. Numan Kurtulmuş, the Minister of Culture and Tourism. The meeting was also attended by the directors and members of the 36 Regional Conservation Committees nationwide and the headings "Determination and Registration of Protected Areas", "Determination and Registration of Immovable Cultural Heritage", "Conservation Development Plans", and "Legislation for Immovable Cultural Heritage" were discussed. At the end of the intense meeting sessions that lasted for 4 days, the results, which will make important contributions to the conservation of cultural heritage in our country, were declared.
