Panel Speakers Become The Voice Of Women

Speaking at the panel titled "Sesim Olur Musun?" (Will You Be My Voice?), at which the place of women in professional life and possible solutions for the problems they face in terms of employment were discussed in detail, GTU Rector Prof. Haluk Görgün said: "To protect women's rights is to protect the society."

Under the "Will You Be My Voice?" project, the first of the series of panels that will take place in 81 cities in Turkey was carried out with the participation of Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB), Gebze Chamber of Commerce (GTO), and GTU. At the panel, which took place in GOSB Conference Hall, GTU Rector Prof. Haluk Görgün, GTO Chairman of the Executive Board Nail Çiler, GOSB Chairman of the Executive Board Vahit Yıldırım, TV Newswomen Didem Arslan Yılmaz, Buket Aydın, Işıl Açıkkar and Nihan Günay were panelists, and Duygu Canbaş was the moderator.

Sharing the stories of the women they present in the news, the newswomen also talked about the problems they themselves face as women in their sector. Also speaking at the panel, GOSB Chairman of the Executive Board Vahit Yıldırım stated that the organized industrial zones will not remain indifferent to the issue of women's rights and the problems women face in employment. GTO Chairman of the Executive Board Nail Çiler emphasized the importance of education and remarked that the region of Gebze is the heart of the industry thanks to women and that providing women with every kind of support in their field of employment is vital.
