Partners of GTU’s EU Project “GreenDC” Meet

The evaluation meeting for the first six months of the “Sustainable Energy Demand Side Management for GREEN Data Centers” (shortly “Green DC”) Project, supported by EU’s “H2020-MSCA-RISE”, took place at GTU’s Social Facilities on September 14-15, 2017. The methods related to energy saving at data centers, the activities realized in the first six months and the work packages to be completed in the next stage of the project were discussed at the meeting. The 2-day meeting ended with a boat tour and dinner on the Bosphorus, Istanbul.

The GreenDC is the first EU project undertaken by our university under the name “GTU” and is being carried out with technical knowledge and experience exchange among the two academic (namely GTU and Brunel University London) and three industrial (namely Türksat A.Ş., David Holding AD, LK Knowledge Engineering LTD) partners. The project, which is planned to be completed in four years, is being conducted by the Department of Electronics Engineering on behalf of GTU.
