GTU Student's Success

Furkan Erdöl, a 4th grade computer engineering student at GTU, completed a challenging software development process in the first position and has been rewarded for it.

Under the OBSS Summer Internship Program competition organized by the OBSS Company and applied by thousands of students during the preselections, Furkan Erdöl, a 4th grade computer engineering student at GTU, took his place among students invited from distinguished universities to the finals. Guided by OBSS mentors, the competitors were evaluated on topics such as problem solving skills, code quality and performance for the projects they developed on real world software problems. These topics are also highlighted in the core curriculum of the Computer Engineering Department at GTU. After a long and challenging software development period, Erdöl won the first place among the finalists and earned the right to participate the JavaOne Conference that will be held in San Francisco between 1-5 October 2017. We congratulate our student and wish him continued success.
